We made it to Joplin, MO.  Need to do a little more planning on our route though (research hotels and places to eat ...).  We are going to catch some sleep and resume our journey in the morning.  We plan on driving to Amarillo, TX and hopefully we will make it there by mid-afternoon.  I hope to have pictures to add by tomorrow night.
